Watertown Blue Revue Competitive Dance Teams
**The program consists of four competitive teams ranging from elementary school age to high school age. Tryouts are held in May of 2011 and are open to all students. We welcome students of all skill levels and backgrounds to tryout. Tryout scores are based on potential and not on mastery of skills.
Prevue- Elementary school ages (starting in 1st grade) beginner to intermediate skill level. No cuts are made at this level. No dance background required.
Mini- Elementary school ages (3rd-5th grade) intermediate skill level. No dance background required.
Juniors- Middle school aged students with intermediate to advanced potential/skills. No dance background required.
Varsity- High school aged students with intermediate to advanced potential/skills. No dance background required.
Pre-Tryout Clinic Information
(Elementary/Middle School)
This year we will be offering a one day Pre-Tryout Clinic for kids interested in trying out for the Prevue/Mini Team as well as kids interested in trying out for the Juniors team.
This clinic is strongly recommended to those trying out for Watertown Blue Revue for the 2011-12 school year, but ANYONE (trying out or not) is welcome and encouraged to join in on a day of fun and dance.
The clinic will be held on Sunday May 1st from 1:30-4:00pm at Watertown High School. For more information and registration materials please click below.
Tryout Information
Tryouts for the Prevue, Mini, and Junior team will be held May 10th, 12th, and 13th. Tryouts for the Varsity team will be held May 17th, 19th, and 20th.
There will be an optional informational meeting for parents who would like more information on the program and program fees on April 26th at WHS. The meeting will be at 5:30pm for parents interested in information about the Prevue, Mini, and Junior team and at 6:00pm for parents interested in information about the Varsity team. The meeting will be held at Watertown High School in the lecture hall which is located at the top of the main staircase on the left.
