The Watertown Blue Revue was founded in 1994 as a non-profit organization whose mission was to provide a quality dance experience for young ladies.
The organization is four-tiered in that it provides two teams for elementary level students, one for middle school students, and one for high school students. In the summer the entire organizaiton is independent of the school system, and during the school year thehigh school squad competes and represents Watertown High School.
The Watertown Blue Revue is committed to community involvement and makes every effort to give back to the community in reutrn for their support. We particpate in the Watertown 4th of July and Holiday parades, community events, and the Jefferson County Countryside Home each summer. We have also provided entertainment for Riverfest when invited in the past. It is our belief the community is important, and the dvelopment of good citizenship is to be encouraged and supported in our young ladies.
The high school team provides 6-week dance lessons sessions three times a year for Watertown youth. The programs are well recieved and give many young ladies an opportunity to dance.
The Watertown Blue Revue presently includes approximately 80 members across the four teams. These teams are coached by Jana Strobel, Linnea Nagel, Casey Hepp, and Libby Hady. Sue Putra is the director of this program and keeps them all heading in the same direction.
